Green Living – Kaduwela

The site located in Bomiriya in sub-urban Kaduwela; is a green residential context; with a number of large canopy trees located within the site. This abundance of foliage was the design generator; creating a double height living volume contained in a steel, glass and timber envelope. The intent was to open the Living, Dining and Family Living spaces of the house to the Green of its context;

Holiday Villa – Kirindivita

The location has a tranquil ambience due to the thick, lush tropical tree growth and the water front to Aththanagalu Oya river basin; yet is only a 5 min. drive away from the busy Gampaha town and an hour’s drive from Colombo.

“Dining Terrace – Level 4”

Roof Terrace Restaurant designed atop the existing Sanora Reception Hall at Thalawathugoda; with dining and lounge seats under the night sky featuring 4th floor views of the sun set, Diyawanna, parliament and its adjacent surroundings.

The contemporary, vegetated restaurant space that sits on the roof terrace of a conventional building is an ideal outdoor location for evening group gatherings.

Robust Extents, Koswatte

The simple geometry of the robust form was devised to merge with the developing sub-urban context of Koswatte, Battaramulla. The design attempts efficient and optimum use of land, space and its construction materials; built on a 12 perch block of land bordering a bustling road on two sides; the foot print of the house is contained in under 6 perches;

Lucid Living , Katubedda

The unpretentious structure stands in contrast to the greenery that surrounds it, reflecting the nature and disposition of its proprietor. A self-made businessman who is simple and pragmatic, the compound itself is principally realized in linear expressions and uniformity. In its extent of 22 perches there is a constant feel of lucidity, enveloped in sunlight creating space animated by light and shadow.
